Shepherd of the Hills Preschool boasts 85+ students who come on a variety of days to five different classrooms. Additionally, all children visit the elementary school’s library once a week. (See picture on the right) The Pre-K and Jr. K classes complete educational studies in the school’s computer lab once a week.

Our 2-½ year old (and 3-year old) students begin their educational experience in the Preschool Building. It is the original building renovated specifically for the preschool programs. The spacious room contains two bathrooms located in the classroom and child-size fixtures. The children explore centers, meet at group-time, and participate in music and movement activities. The room contains a two-way window where parents are able to view the children’s activities without being seen.

The additional classrooms are located in the elementary school building. Room 107 (pictured on the left) is the Jr. Kindergarten program where children learn strategies to help them master concepts prior to the kindergarten experience. Room 109 is one of the Pre-Kindergarten classrooms. Children experience center activities as well as group time. One-on-one time helps to meet students’ individual needs and learning styles. Room 112 is our second 3-year old classroom. Children have the option of coming 2, 3, or 5 days per week. Bathroom facilities are also located in this classroom. The large room is a favorite place for imaginative play. The last classroom is shared with our childcare program. The second Pre-K program practices numbers and letter activities as well as creative expressions of art, music, rhythm, and movement in this large space.
