Math Links

6th WEBQUEST SPREADSHEET INSTRUCTIONS:

Complete Zoo Challenge 1 from the Math Webquest site

  1. Create a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet to record the data. Your spreadsheet should list the types of animals you decided to purchase, the quantity of each animal, the total cost for each animal (expressed using a formula in Excel), and the total cost of all your purchases. Be sure to stay under budget!
  2. Copy your chart to Microsoft Word and print it. If your spreadsheet is too large, here are some options to get it to work on your page:

    1. Go into Page Setup from the File menu and change your page's orientation from portrait to landscape
    2. In your Excel document, use smaller font sizes and columns and rows that are more narrow before copying your document to MS Word.
  3. Proofread! Make sure all your word spellings and formulas are correct!
  4. Type your name on the page and print.

Complete Zoo Challenge 2 from the Math Webquest site

  1. Make sure you complete all graphs as required. Copy and pasted these to Microsoft Word so that they may be printed in a single document.
  2. Be sure to answer the questions on mean, median, and mode in the same document. Please ask if you have any questions about that.
